Privacy statement

1. Who is responsible

Keukendepot Bonaire is part of Building Depot Bonaire, located at Kaya Industria Noort 1, Kralendijk, Bonaire. Building Depot Bonaire is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website. Send privacy questions to kitchenbon@building-depot.net.

2. Which data we process and why

We only process data needed to help you get your kitchen. Per part of the website:

• Quote request: name, e-mail address, phone number, the chosen kitchen and layout, your wishes and your preferred language. Our kitchen advisors use this to prepare your quote and to contact you.
• Account and sign-in: your e-mail address, a one-time sign-in code or a password (both stored encrypted only) and the time of sign-in. This keeps My kitchen accessible to you alone.
• Quote and signing: the quote details, the name you enter when signing, your signature, date and time, your IP address and browser details and a digital fingerprint of the signed document. This records that you gave your approval.
• Payments: payments are processed by Sentoo (bank) and Fygaro (card). We never receive bank credentials or full card numbers. We keep the amount, the status, the payment provider’s reference and the payment method, for cards only the brand and the last four digits.
• Appointments: you book a consultation through Microsoft Bookings. Microsoft processes your name, e-mail address, phone number and the chosen time in our team’s calendar.
• Photos and visualisation: photos of your space that you upload are stored privately and are visible only to you and our advisors. Only with your explicit consent do we send a photo to OpenAI to create an image of a kitchen in your space. Under OpenAI’s business terms these images are not used to train models.
• Website visits: our hosting provider keeps technical logs (such as IP address and time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

3. Cookies

The website uses two functional cookies: kd-language remembers your language choice for one year and a session cookie keeps you signed in. Neither contains personal data readable by others, and neither is used to track you.

4. Legal basis

We process your data to carry out your request and agreement, on the basis of your consent (for example for photos and the visualisation), to meet legal obligations (such as the retention duty for our records) and for our legitimate interest in a secure, well-functioning website. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect what was lawfully processed before.

5. Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties needed to run the website and our service:

• Building Depot Bonaire: for advice, delivery, installation and administration of your kitchen.
• Vercel (hosting and file storage) and Neon (database), both in the United States. Your data is therefore stored outside Bonaire; data processing agreements are in place with these parties.
• Resend: sending e-mails such as sign-in codes, quotes and confirmations.
• Microsoft: our staff’s work accounts and Microsoft Bookings for appointments.
• Sentoo and Fygaro: processing of payments. They are themselves responsible for the data you enter on their payment pages.
• OpenAI: only the photo you choose to have visualised, with your consent.

6. How long we keep data

Requests that do not lead to a quote are kept as long as needed to help you and deleted afterwards. Quotes, signed approvals and payment records are part of our business records and are kept for seven years, the statutory retention period. Sign-in codes and reset links expire automatically after a short time. You can have uploaded photos and visualisations deleted via kitchenbon@building-depot.net.

7. Security

The connection to the website is encrypted (https). Passwords and sign-in codes are stored encrypted only. Photos and documents are kept in private storage and are only delivered to their owner or a signed-in staff member. Staff sign in with their business Microsoft account.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to a processing and to withdraw consent. Send your request to kitchenbon@building-depot.net; we respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the BES Data Protection Supervisory Commission (Commissie toezicht bescherming persoonsgegevens BES). This statement is based on the BES Personal Data Protection Act (Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens BES).

9. Minors and changes

This website is intended for persons aged 18 and over. We may update this statement, for example when adding features or suppliers. The date at the top shows the latest version.
